Peaceful Muharram procession in Jamshedpur | The Avenue Mail

Jamshedpur, July 6: Under the aegis of the Central Muharram Committee, a grand Muharram procession was carried out across Jamshedpur on Saturday, 6th July, in an atmosphere of mutual harmony, discipline, and devotion. Participants joined the procession dressed in traditional attire, reflecting deep cultural and spiritual reverence. The procession featured vibrant tableaux that showcased themes of national security and the country's rich historical legacy. Akharas from different parts of the city participated, carrying traditional flags and following the designated routes to reach their destinations peacefully. To support the devotees, several service camps were set up along the route by social workers and volunteers. These camps offered water, sherbet, biscuits, fruit salad, and other refreshments to participants and onlookers. The event concluded smoothly, highlighting the spirit of unity and respect among the city's residents during the observance of Muharram.
