Pune: An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Pune was delayed by over four-and-a-half hours after the pilot of the aircraft fell ill right before the take-off on Friday morning.IndiGo in its statement said, "One of our cockpit crew, scheduled to operate IndiGo flight 6E 2262 from Delhi to Pune on July 4, felt unwell before the take-off and the aircraft returned to the bay, following the standard operating procedures (SOP). We ensured appropriate medical assistance for the unwell crew and an alternative crew was assigned to operate the aircraft, causing a delay in the flight. Additionally, the flight was further delayed due to temporary restrictions at the Pune airport. " The flight was scheduled to take off from Delhi at 6am and land in Pune at 8am. But owing to the delay, the flight flew from Delhi with more than 100 passengers around 10.27am and landed in Pune at 12.43pm.The IndiGo's statement also said, "We regret the inconvenience caused to the customers and made all efforts, including offering refreshments and sharing regular updates about the flight, to minimise it. Safety of our customers, crew and aircraft is our top priority at IndiGo."An Air India pilot of a flight from Bengaluru to Delhi collapsed on Friday right before operating the aircraft.
