Mumbai News: At Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), customs officials caught a passenger trying to smuggle 45 wild animals, including raccoons, black foxes, iguanas, and rabbit-like hyraxes. The man had arrived on a Thai Airways flight early Saturday morning, reported PTI. After searching his luggage, officials found many of the animals crammed inside. Several were already dead due to suffocation and the poor conditions they were kept in, said the officials, reported PTI.

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has filed a chargesheet against YouTuber Siddharth Yadav alias Elvish Yadav, his friend and singer Rahul Yadav alias Fazilpuriya apart from two others, and charged them with money laundering in an alleged wildlife crime involving protected snakes and lizards, official sources said. New Delhi, Apr 7 (PTI) The government is considering a ₹2.5 lakh crore credit guarantee scheme to support businesses, especially MSMEs impacted by the West Asia crisis, sources said. Under the scheme, a credit guarantee of about 90 per cent on loans of up to ₹100 crore would be provided to lenders in case of default by borrowers due to the ongoing US-Iran conflict. The guarantee on bank loans would be provided by the National Credit Guarantee Trustee Company (NCGTC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the government.
