Bhubaneswar: Mahila police on Friday registered a case against BJP's Nilgiri MLA Santosh Khatua (56) for his alleged 'sexist' remarks against BJD's senior general secretary, Lekhasri Samantsinghar."Based on her complaint, we have registered a case under Sections 75(2) (sexual harassment), 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult modesty of a woman), 296 (obscene acts and songs) and 356 (defamation) of BNS. Investigation is in progress and the charges are being verified," DCP Jagmohan Meena told TOI.Earlier in the day, Samantsinghar had lodged a complaint with Mahila Police Station against Khatua for his alleged remarks against her and women politicians in Odisha, a charge denied by him.
