Lucknow: The state govt will soon begin work on strengthening aided primary schools, which provide free education to children from economically weaker sections.Currently, 448 aided primary schools are recognised by the basic education department and receive funding from the social welfare department. These schools also offer free textbooks, uniforms and other learning material to reduce the financial burden on parents. Among other changes, govt is working to improve teacher recruitment and training. Minister of state for social welfare (independent), Asim Arun said govt's priority is to provide quality education to even the most marginalised sections of society. "Through aided primary schools, efforts are being made to provide proper educational resources while ensuring transparency, accountability, and quality.
