Lucknow, July 4 (UNI) Taking another significant step in the field of education, Uttar Pradesh government has decided to further strengthen grant-aided primary schools. With a strong focus on transparency and students' future, the government is implementing inclusive and empowering policies to improve the quality and reach of education across the state. Under this initiative, primary schools operated through the Social Welfare Department will provide free and quality education to children from economically weaker sections -- especially those belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and families living below the poverty line. Currently around 448 grant-aided primary schools in Uttar Pradesh have been recognised by the Basic Education Department and are receiving funding from the Social Welfare Department. These institutions primarily aim to offer quality education to children from the most disadvantaged sections of society. The UP government is now taking concrete steps to further strengthen these schools, ensuring that education reaches every child, regardless of their social or economic background. The state government's vision is to make sure that no child is deprived of education because of financial difficulties.
