Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance has apprehended Dileswar Majhi, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of the Titlagarh R&B Sub-Division under Kantabanji R&B Division, Balangir, for accumulating disproportionate assets. Searches conducted at six locations across Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Balangir districts uncovered substantial assets. He was found in possession of disproportionate assets, including four buildings, one market complex, nine high-value plots, gold weighing 300 grams, deposits worth over Rs 49.45 lakhs and cash worth Rs 6.57 lakh. The accused, however, failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for these assets, leading to his arrest. A case (Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No 13/2025) has been registered against him. Majhi will be presented before the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bolangir, today.
