Follow directive to provide Jain food to inmate: Mumbai court tells jail | Mumbai News - Times of India

Mumbai: A special court on Thursday directed jail authorities to strictly follow an order directing them to provide Jain food to an inmate. Through his lawyer, Viral Babar, accused Riteshkumar Shah submitted that despite a clear directive from the court issued over a month ago, he was denied his religious dietary requirements.Last week, he told the court that his health seriously deteriorated as he was only surviving on chapatis for a month due to the jail's noncompliance in providing him with Jain food.

Mumbai: A special PMLA court has directed prison authorities to provide proper Jain food to Ahmedabad-based trader Ritesh Shah, an accused in the Malegaon money laundering case.
