Ranchi: Jharkhand sports minister Sudivya Kumar on Wednesday extended full support to former international hockey player Bimal Lakra, who is undergoing treatment at Ranchi's Curresta Hospital, following a serious head injury sustained on Monday.The minister, who visited the player in hospital, said, "The department is closely monitoring his condition and doing everything necessary to support him and his family. I have directed the sports director to ensure the best medical facilities for him. I assure his family that there will be no negligence in his treatment."Ranchi MP and Union minister of state for defence, Sanjay Seth, also called on Lakra at the hospital and spoke with him and his family."Lakra is responding to treatment.
