The State government has nominated Chief Wildlife Warden Pramod G. Krishnan as its representative on the expert committee constituted by the National Board for Wildlife to study the demand to exclude the inhabited areas of Pampa Valley and Angel Valley within the Periyar Tiger Sanctuary and those within the Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary from the ambit of the protected areas.
