Blasts case convict buried amid security | Mumbai News - Times of India

Thane: Two days after his death, Saquib Nachan, a Mumbai bomb blasts case convict and accused in an ISIS module case, was buried amid tight police security in Borivali village near Padgha in Thane on Monday.Police sources said 1,200-1,500 residents of the village -- where Nachan was reportedly held in high regard -- attended the funeral, as did the former SIMI member's younger son, Shamil, who has been in jail in the ISIS case and was granted permission to be present at the burial. Sources said NIA and other probe agencies were at the site too. Nachan is said to have suffered a brain haemorrhage on June 22 at Tihar jail and died during treatment. -- Pradeep Gupta
