Tumakuru (Karnataka), Jun 30 (PTI) -- Four members of a family, including a 13-year-old boy, lost their lives in a tragic road accident when their car collided head-on with a speeding mini truck near Kunigal bypass in Tumakuru district, police said on Monday. The deceased were identified as Seebe Gowda (50), his wife Shobha (45), their daughter Dumbishree (23), and son Bhanukiran (13), according to officials. The accident occurred around 8 PM on Sunday. The family was travelling from Magadi town to drop Bhanukiran, a Class 8 student at Valley School, back to his hostel located near Bidanagere on the outskirts of Kunigal. As they reached the Kunigal bypass, a Canter truck, which was reportedly speeding and coming from the wrong direction on a one-way road, collided head-on with their car. The impact was so intense that all four occupants of the car died on the spot. Police immediately responded to the scene and initiated legal proceedings. Further investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances of the accident.
