Galaxy S25 leaks show the same charging speeds as S24Listed on FCC, Geekbench, BIS, and 3C sitesThree models: S25, S25', S25 Ultra with 45W charging A recent certification leak shows that the upcoming Samsung flagship phone, the Galaxy S25, may feature the same charging speeds as this year's Samsung Galaxy S24 series. The leak was found on the FCC certification website. The smartphone has previously also appeared on other certification websites like Geekbench, BIS, and 3C. But what does that mean for the consumer? A smartphone showing up on certification websites means that the device's research and production is now complete, and the company is now just getting the necessary certification before it can start selling the device in the markets. The certification listing also means that a lot of the specifications and features about the smartphone get revealed when devices are listed on these websites. Considering that the Galaxy S25 series has now shown up on multiple certification websites, there is a lot we already know about the smartphone -- of course, we would still recommend you to take this information with a pinch of salt, because it's never confirmed until we hear it from the horse's mouth. We already know that the Galaxy S25 series will include three smartphones: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Based on the latest leak, the S25 series will likely support up to 45W wired fast charging, which is the same as what you get with the 2024's flagship Galaxy S24 series. And as per the FCC certification, the vanilla Galaxy S25 model may only support 9W wireless charging, which is a downgrade of 15W compared to its predecessor. Additionally, the Galaxy S25 will support 25W fast charging, consistent with its predecessor. Meanwhile, the travel adapters for the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra are identified as EP-T2510, suggesting 45W wired fast charging. Notably, Samsung will still not include a charging adapter, so that will have to be bought separately. Leaks also suggest that all three Galaxy S25 models will feature 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, GNSS, and NFC connectivity. However, ultrawide-band support will only be available on the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra, leaving the standard model without it. The S25 Ultra will also include an S-Pen (model EJ-PS938) manufactured by Wacom. Other leaks in the past also show that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, with the standard and Plus models also expected to use the same processor due to limited production of Samsung Exynos 2500. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S25 series will operate on the Android 15-based OneUI 7. While the base models might see only minor camera improvements, the S25 Ultra is rumoured to include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, an upgrade from the current 12-megapixel sensor, while retaining the 200-megapixel primary and telephoto cameras from its predecessor. In terms of design, leaked images and videos suggest that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will adopt a flat frame with rounded corners, moving away from its predecessor's squared-off design but maintaining the flat display from the S24 Ultra. This change could make the Ultra model visually align more closely with the standard and Plus variants, which are expected to retain their existing designs. Additionally, the S25 Ultra is rumoured to feature a five-camera setup, similar to the S24 Ultra, with some design inspiration drawn from the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The Galaxy S25 series is expected to launch sometime in January. However, an official date for the launch is yet to be revealed.
