Patna: A political slugfest erupted afresh on Sunday when RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav promised to throw Waqf Act into trash if INDIA bloc formed the government after the assembly election as JD (U) claimed that his assurance was intended at wooing the minority community for their votes before the assembly election. State JD (U) president Umesh Kushwaha said that RJD's so-called concern for the members of minority community was mere eyewash, intended at getting their votes. He claimed that those suffering from the mentality of nepotism could not be true well wishers of the society, as people of Bihar were also fully aware of it. While addressing the 'Save Waqf, Save Constitution' rally at the historical Gandhi Maidan in the state capital, Tejashwi claimed that INDIA bloc would 'consign the dustbin' the Waqf Act if it formed the next government in the state, adding that the ruling NDA in Bihar was 'on its way out'.
