Puri Stampede: Three people were killed, and almost 100 got injured in a stampede near the Gundicha temple in Odisha's Puri in the early hours of Sunday. A huge crowd gathered near the temple around 4 am to catch a glimpse of the three deities in the chariot; however, the stampede broke out due to the unexpected arrival of two trucks at the site, reported ANI, citing the eyewitnesses. The eyewitnesses also questioned the lack of response from the officials and lack of security arrangements near the temple. However, Puri District Collector Siddharth S Swain stated that all the arrangements were made, adding that a probe has been ordered into the matter, reported PTI.

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 11 (PTI) Two men drowned in a temple pond in Uloor while taking a bath on Wednesday, police said.
