Uttarakhand: A cloud burst in Uttarkashi's Silai Band, along the Barkot-Yamunotri Marg, on Sunday (June 29, 2025) caused massive damage to an under-construction hotel site. At least 8 to 9 workers staying there went missing, authorities reported. Meanwhile, Uttarkashi DM Prashant Arya said that a rescue and search operation has been launched following the incident. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been sent to the construction site. The cloudburst triggered a flash flood due to intense downpour in the region.
