Kolkata: Police have started investigating the allegations made by a woman against Swami Pradeeptanandaji, secretary of Beldanga Bharat Sevashram Sangha, also known as Kartik Maharaj. The woman has accused Kartik Maharaj of raping her repeatedly while promising her a job and pressuring her into getting an abortion.After filing the complaint at Nabagram police station on Thursday, the complainant met Murshidabad police district SP Kumar Sani Raj at his office Friday. Three other senior police officials were present at the meeting.
