Mandya: The water level at Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) reservoir in Mandya district has reached its maximum level on Saturday. This is the first time in the recent past, the water level has touched to its brim in the month of June.The maximum level of the reservoir is 124.8 feet and water level on June 28 reached 124 ft around 8pm.Meanwhile, boating has been suspended at Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary as the outflow from KRS has increased.Earlier, the water level at KRS was 123.25 feet. The reservoir is receiving heavy inflow of water at 39,689 cusecs while authorities are maintaining the level by releasing excess water. The outflow was 25,5448 cusecs.

Sambalpur: With rising inflow of floodwater into the Hirakud reservoir, authorities opened four more sluice gates Thursday, taking the total number of gates currently discharging excess water to 20.
