Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has called on the youth of the Northeast to set clear goals, believe in their potential, and embrace entrepreneurship. Speaking at the inaugural session of the 5th Regional Youth Convention 2025 at Mary Help of Christians Cathedral in Kohima yesterday evening, Mr. Sangma said the Northeast, one of the youngest regions in the country with a high Gen Z, Alpha, and Beta population, holds immense potential. He urged young people to move beyond a mindset dependent on reservation, by believing in their ability to compete nationally and globally. Referring to Meghalaya's Vision 2032, he described it as an ambitious roadmap and urged young people to aim high and pursue entrepreneurship. Mr. Sangma noted that Meghalaya runs one of biggest entrepreneurship programmes and called business development key to the region's future. Earlier yesterday, Mr. Sangma officially opened the convention with a flag hoisting.
