Lucknow: To take financial inclusion to the grassroots, the state govt will launch a special campaign from July 1, under which eligible persons at the gram panchayat level will be linked with central schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.The three-month drive aims to ensure last-mile delivery of key financial services to eligible citizens. It is being launched under the directive of the department of financial services, Union finance ministry and its primary objective is to ensure 100% coverage of all eligible beneficiaries who were, so far, left out of these schemes, said a govt spokesperson. The director general of institutional finance has issued instructions to all district magistrates and departmental officials to implement the financial inclusion campaign. He said that there should be at least one camp organised in every gram panchayat.
