Lucknow: A joint team from Malihabad and Rahimabad police stations arrested a 68-year-old man allegedly involved in manufacturing and selling illegal firearms in the Mirzaganj area of Malihabad on Friday. The accused, Salauddin alias Lala, was also found in possession of prohibited deer skin and a large cache of weapons, ammunition, and tools used in making illegal arms.Police received a tip-off that a man near the old picture hall in Mirzaganj was in possession of illegal weapons and was waiting to sell them to potential buyers. Acting swiftly, the team reached the spot and arrested Salauddin. It recovered eight live cartridges of .315 bore from his possession. When interrogated, Salauddin confessed to manufacturing firearms at his residence in the same area.
