New Delhi: A 29-year-old driver was shot dead following an altercation in north Delhi's Burari on Wednesday night. The accused, identified as Arun Dedha (33), allegedly opened fire on Ajit Kumar Tripathi when a heated exchange of words escalated to violence.Police got a PCR call reporting gunfire around 9.19pm on June 25 from Hoovers Apartment in Sant Nagar, Burari. "Police officers reached the spot and found Ajit Kumar, a resident of Kaushik Enclave and a driver by profession, lying injured with a gunshot wound," a senior officer said. "He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead."According to police sources, the accused, Arun, resided on the first floor of the apartment. Ajit came to the apartment to hand over car keys to his employer, who lives in the same building, when Arun allegedly began hurling abuses at him. An altercation followed, after which he shot Ajit.
