Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala continues to top the daily Covid-19 cases nationwide as the per the latest figures with 144 cases reported in the last 24 hours. India's Covid-19 cases have touched 6133 with 378 new infections reported in the past 24 hours. Kerala is followed by Gujarat with 105 cases, and West Bengal with 71 cases. The southern state also reported 3 Covid-19 deaths in the past 24 hours. Despite the rise in COVID-19 cases, officials have stated that the infections are generally mild, and the public shouldn't panic, although states are maintaining a heightened state of alertness. The deceased include a 51-year-old and a 92-year-old male who died from respiratory failure, while another was a 64-year-old male who succumbed to bilateral pneumonia.
