Indore: Sanitary Goods And Air Cooler Worth Lakhs Gutted In Sanitary Showroom Fire

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Goods worth lakhs were gutted in a fire which broke out in a sanitary showroom in the Dewas Naka area on Saturday morning. However, no casualty was reported. According to a fire brigade officer, the fire broke out in the showroom of Tahir Ali in the Niranjanpur area at around 9 AM. The people spotted the flames and smoke from the showroom and informed the fire brigade and the local police. They also tried to extinguish the flames. Meanwhile, the fire fighters reached the spot and managed to bring the fire under control using more than 40000 litres of water. Sanitary goods and an air cooler were gutted in the fire. The reason behind the fire is said to be an electric short circuit in the showroom. Another fire broke out near the Geeta Bhawan Square, in the flat of Himanshu Bindal in Swastik House at around 5.30 PM on Saturday. This too was attributed to an electric short circuit from the AC. About 8000 litres of water had to be used to douse the flames. No casualty was reported here as well.
