DIY Body Butters: Harsh cold, and chilly winds are here for some months but can do irreparable damage to your skin. While regular moisturizers do provide comfort and nourishment for small hours, they are just not enough in cold and dry weather. Body butter then comes as your savior as their thick consistency, natural oils, and long-lasting wearability protect your skin from dryness and flaky skin by making a protective layer on your skin. Besides, fragrant body butter can make you smell like a million bucks too without digging a hole in your pocket with the help of these DIY body butter recipes. For the fans of a classic and unflavoured body butter, this is the deal. In a bowl mix half a cup of coconut oil or almond oil with shea butter. Melt the two in a double boiler till they are nicely mixed. Cool it down and whip it with a hand mixer or an electronic one until it's fluffy and store it in an airtight container. If you like to blend woody and floral perfumes, then make almond and rose body butter. On a double boiler melt half a cup of almond oil and half a cup of shea butter and let it cool down till it's semi-solid. Whip the cool-down mixture and add 10 drops of rose essential oil in between whipping. Once buttery in texture, you can store it in an airtight jar. Smells tropical and summery in winter with a citrus-flavoured body butter. In one cup of shea butter add one-fourth cup of almond or coconut oil with 2 tablespoons of honey and a few drops of vanilla essence. Melt it all in a double boiler, let it cool down, and then whip and put 8-10 drops of orange essential oil. Whip till fluffy and store. For a mild fragrant body butter, the musky coconut one would be your favourite. On a double boiler melt half a cup of coconut oil with 1 tablespoon of beeswax followed by half ca up jojoba oil. Let it all mix, and cool it down. Then add a few drops of peppermint essential oil and whip until fluffy. Store in an airtight jar. You will smell like a chocolate dessert with this one lathered on your body. Melt one cup of cacao butter, half a cup of coconut oil, one tablespoon of beeswax, and 2 tablespoons of almond oil in a bowl. Whip them and mix followed by cooling them down. Start whipping it later and add vanilla extract and one tablespoon of raw cacao powder. Whip and store in jars.
