Ahmedabad, Jul 17 (PTI) The Congress on Thursday appointed five-time MLA Amit Chavda as the president of the party's Gujarat unit. Chavda, who was earlier on the post between 2018 and 2021, replaces Rajya Sabha member Shaktsinh Gohil, the latter having resigned on June 23 following the Congress' defeat in the bypolls to Kadi and Visavadar assembly seats.
