Giridih, July 6: At least one person died and four others were injured after a Tazia came into contact with an 11,000-volt overhead electric wire during a Muharram procession in Jharkhand's Giridih district on Sunday, officials said. Bokaro: Akhil Kumar, one of the two workers at an ingot manufacturing plant in Balidih industrial area who sustained burn injuries on Sunday, died in Bokaro General Hospital on Monday. "The family of the deceased was provided a compensation of Rs 15 lakh and immediate assistance of Rs 50,000 for conducting his last rites," deputy commissioner Ajay Nath Jha said.
