Delhi govt to implement uniform admission age of 6+ years for Class 1 from 2026-27

Delhi schools will adopt a uniform Class 1 admission age of six years starting in 2026-27. This change aligns with the National Education Policy 2020. The foundational stage, including Nursery and KG, will see revised age criteria phased in from next year. New admissions to KG in 2026-27 will require children to be four years old.
