Stray dog bites eight people outside church in Naigon

MUMBAI: A stray dog bit at least eight people in Naigaon on Friday morning when devotees were exiting the Daya Mata Church in Ranshet after attending Good Friday prayers. The injured were rushed to the civic run-DM Petit Hospital and discharged after being administered anti-rabies injections, said Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC) health officer Dr Bhakti Chaudhary. Man dies after being hit by coconut thrown from running train

According to the police, the deceased, Sanjay Bhoir, a resident of Panju Island in Vasai, was walking on Naigaon-Bhayandar railway bridge towards Naigaon station around 8.30 am on Saturday when the coconut, thrown by an unidentified person from a passing train, hit him directly on the head. "Bhoir sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Sir DM Petit Hospital in Vasai. MMR pelted by heavy rain, Mumbai surpasses its seasonal average on Sunday

MUMBAI: The heavens opened up over the city on Saturday night and Sunday, with several areas logging over 100 mm of rainfall.
