Aluminium hits four-year high as Middle East conflict threatens supply

Bengaluru -- Aluminium prices surged to four-year highs on Monday as Iranian air strikes on two major Middle East producers over the weekend raised the risk of a prolonged supply shock. Benchmark aluminium on the London Metal Exchange was up 4.7% to $3,453 a tonne at 10.48am GMT. Adani's new copper smelter in India applies to become LME-listed brand

LONDON, Aug 13 (Reuters) - A major new copper smelter in India owned by Adani Enterprises Ltd (ADEL.NS), opens new tab has applied to become a listed copper-producing brand with the London Metal Exchange, the LME said in a notice on Wednesday. Copper prices near one-month high on China policy optimism

NEW DELHI, Dec 11 (Reuters) - London copper prices climbed to a nearly one-month high on Wednesday, as markets drew support from top consumer China's recent announcement that it will ease monetary policy and adopt a proactive fiscal policy to propel growth next year.
