Kohima: A wildfire broke out in Nagaland's Dzükou Valley on the western side of Kohima district on Friday, officials said, adding that an emergency response team rescued four trekkers, though they had yet to reach the base camp set up in Khonoma, the nearest village to the blaze. Kohima, December 15 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, on Monday visited the base camp at Khonoma overseeing operations against the Dzükou forest fire, accompanied by a team of district officials. Dimapur: The wildfire at western Dzükou valley at Khonoma in Nagaland's Kohima district that started on December 12 has been contained, even as the presence of smoke in between burnt bushes was reported, an official report said on Monday.
