Shillong, Oct. 26: Oil has been struck in the well at Kharsangh in Arunachal Pradesh, further strengthening the country's hope of achieving early self-sufficiency in oil. Good deposits of oil have been discovered at a depth of about 2,850 metres in the well being drilled by the Oil India Limited, a joint enterprise of the Government of India and the Burmah Oil Company.
