New Delhi, June 6 (UNI) The Parliaments of ten BRICS nations strongly condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack and agreed to cooperate on a policy of zero tolerance against terrorism. A high-level Parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, which participated in a two-day Eleventh BRICS Parliamentary Forum in Braslia, held multiple rounds of intensive discussions. A broad consensus was reached on key global issues including the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), global trade and economy, inter-parliamentary cooperation, global peace and security, an official spokesman said here on Friday. The ten BRICS countries represented in this year's forum were : India, Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Ethiopia, and Indonesia. Mr Birla, while speaking at the closing ceremony, highlighted India's stance on various issues. 'India unequivocally condemned all terrorist attacks and emphatically advocated for the adoption of a zero tolerance policy towards terrorism.' India's stand was appreciated and unanimously incorporated into the final Joint Declaration. In particular, India's firm policy on countering terrorism was strongly acknowledged.
