Agartala (Tripura) [India], April 3 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday strongly criticised the Tipra Motha Party, alleging that over the past five years, the party has set a record of looting funds meant for development in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) under the cover of the slogan Thansa. He said that public support can never be won through force, and Tipra Motha would not be able to stop the BJP's victory by resorting to acts such as burning houses of ordinary Janajati people and forcing shops to close. "Therefore, this corrupt party must be removed from the TTAADC, and a development-friendly government must be formed under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party," he said. Saha said this while addressing a public meeting at Gabardi Bazar in support of BJP-nominated candidate Moji Debbarma in the Janmejaynagar constituency under the 17th Pekuajala Assembly segment.
