Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday said that the government had launched the 99-day action plan 'Praja Palana -- Pragati Pranalika' to bring visible and tangible changes in people's lives, and said that welfare schemes must go beyond paperwork and reach every eligible beneficiary. As part of the programme, gram sabhas were held across Telangana on Thursday, where officials read out the Chief Minister's message and explained details of various welfare initiatives. During the gram sabhas, officials announced the list of beneficiaries under Rythu Bharosa, details of 200 units of free electricity, and the beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme. Information was also shared on schemes already in implementation and the proposed universal life insurance scheme scheduled to be launched on June 2. Officials briefed villagers about new initiatives, including the morning breakfast programme in government schools -- featuring milk distribution for three days and ragi porridge for three days each week -- and the extension of the midday meal scheme to Intermediate college students from the 2026-27 academic year beginning in June.
