Hyderabad, Apr 2 (PTI) Highlighting the mosquito menace in Hyderabad, opposition BRS MLA D Sudheer Reddy on Thursday addressed a press conference wearing a dress stitched using mosquito net. Attacking the Congress government for failing to check the spread of mosquitoes, he demanded that they provide at least 10 fogging machines for every ward in the city and take other measures, including manual and drone spraying of insecticides, removal of hyacinth and releasing gambusia (mosquito fish) in water bodies. "I am asking whether a government which is not able to control the mosquito menace deserves to continue in office," Sudheer Reddy, BRS MLA from L B Nagar here, said. He claimed that security personnel in the assembly premises behaved with high-handedness by telling him not to wear the specially stitched dress though there was no such order to the effect. Reddy, who said he wore the dress as an expression of protest, alleged that there is corruption in carrying out sprays, releasing gambusia fish and others, leading to the mosquito menace growing in the city.
