Amaravati/New Delhi, Apr 2 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and thanked him over passing of a bill in Lok Sabha seeking to recognise Amaravati as the sole and permanent capital of Andhra Pradesh. Lokesh said he thanked PM Modi on behalf of crores of Andhra Pradesh people. "It was a privilege to meet Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji. I conveyed the heartfelt gratitude of crores of people of Andhra Pradesh for the Amaravati Bill being passed in Parliament," he said in a post on 'X'. "I also shared the extraordinary story of our farmers - who made immense sacrifices, pooling their lands and standing resilient through years of uncertainty - to keep the dream of Amaravati alive," he said.
