New Delhi- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday chaired a special meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) to review India's preparedness amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, calling for "all-out efforts" to protect citizens from its impact. The meeting, the second such high-level review on the issue, assessed steps taken by various ministries and departments and deliberated on further measures to cushion the fallout of the conflict on essential supplies and key sectors. According to an official statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, Modi emphasised that safeguarding citizens must remain the top priority and directed all concerned departments to take every possible step to address emerging challenges.
