New Delhi: Former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and senior advocate HS Phoolka on Wednesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), ending a seven-year hiatus from active politics. His joining is seen as a major boost to the Punjab unit of the BJP. He joined at the BJP's Delhi headquarters in the presence of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and the party's National General Secretary Tarun Chugh. Phoolka is a distinguished lawyer in the Supreme Court and the Delhi High Court. He led the fight for justice for the victims of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
