Kolkata: Assam minister of health and family welfare and irrigation Ashok Singhal wooed investors in Kolkata on Tuesday by offering a tailored approach for all their needs and highlighting the cultural affinity between West Bengal and the NE state. The Assam govt organised an investors' roadshow here ahead of its business conclave 'Advantage Assam 2.0: Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 next month. "Your problem is our problem. The state's innovative Alakata industrial policy offers a flexible approach to investment support within legal boundaries," Singhal said, adding, "When you come to Assam, you'll feel right at home." Pointing out the cultural kinship between Assam and West Bengal, he said, this could serve as a natural bridge for investors to expand into Assam's rapidly growing economy - transforming familiar territory into fertile ground for business opportunities. During his speech, Singhal outlined Assam's infrastructure revival initiatives, specifically mentioning the Dhubri-Phulbari Bridge and Jagiroad Electronics City.
