Lucknow: To dispel myths around organ donation and urge people to pledge their organs for those in need, Aastha Centre for Geriatric Medicine, Palliative Care Hospital, Hospice & Social Welfare Society organised an awareness drive to mark Organ Donation Day on Wednesday.Doctors, healthcare professionals, social activists and community members highlighted the importance of organ donation. Participants shared real-life stories of recipients and families of donors. Experts spoke on the critical shortage of organs in India and emphasized that organ donation is not only a medical act but also a profound humanitarian gesture that lives on beyond one's lifetime.
