Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy became serious over shifting of Lagacharla farmer with handcuffs to the hospital. Farmer Heerya Naik was shifted to Sangareddy hospital with handcuffs for treatment. He enquired the officials about the incident and questioned them why had they been so ruthless with a farmer and the reasons that led to handcuffing him. He issued orders for a comprehensive inquiry into the incident and wanted the officials to submit a report at the earliest. Revanth said he would not accept repetition of such incidents in the future. Heerya Naik was arrested in connection with attack on Vikarabad district collector Prateek Jain. The collector held a meeting to collect public opinion on Lagacharla-Polepalli Industrial Corridor in Kodangal constituency, Vikarabad district. During this time, the villagers went berserk and assaulted the collector. Former BRS MLA Patnam Narender Reddy and prime accused Suresh had already been taken into custody, in connection with the case. A few farmers were also arrested in the case and Heerya Naik is among them. Naik was lodged in Kandi Central Jail but after he complained of pain in his chest, he was shifted to the Sangareddy Hospital for treatment. This morning too, Naik was brought to Sangareddy Hospital for treatment and he was found moving with handcuffs on his arms. Gaining knowledge about the incident, Revanth Reddy issued a serious warning to the officials never to handcuff farmers.
