JAMMU, July 17: Lambasting Congress for misleading people of J&K on Statehood issue, BJP national general secretary and Incharge J&K and Ladakh UTs, Tarun Chugh today said Modi Government is committed to restoration of Statehood to J&K at an appropriate time. Talking to a news channel Chugh questioned Congress party's sudden concern over Statehood issue and alleged it reflects the vested political interests of the party which during its rule has thrown all democratic norms to winds and promoted dynastic rule and corruption for decades together. He added, "The same leaders who opposed the abrogation of Article 370 are now pretending to care about Statehood. PM Modi's word is not mere assurance, it is a resolute promise.
