Jayant Chaudhary visits eastern UP to revive RLD's roots | Lucknow News - Times of India

Lucknow: Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Jayant Chaudhary on Saturday visited Kushinagar and Gorakhpur and held discussions on party's future plans with senior functionaries and cadre.Jayant was greeted by party functionaries, including national general secretary Anil Dubey, at the airport.RLD national secretary Anupam Mishra said Jayant Chaudhary's visit will strengthen the party's presence in eastern UP. Mishra said RLD also had roots in eastern UP during the tenure of former PM and his grandfather Chaudhary Charan Singh. "We hope to revive those roots," he said, adding that Chaudhary's arrival in Purvanchal is likely to bring new opportunities for strengthening and development of the party."Party functionaries and workers are ready to work with full dedication to strengthen the party under his (Jayant Chaudhary) leadership," he said. Sources said Jayant plans to visit Ballia in the next few days.
