New Delhi: Chief minister Rekha Gupta expressed "serious concern and dissatisfaction" over the waterlogging caused by downpour in various parts of Delhi on Wednesday. She asked the officials concerned to implement effective measures to prevent waterlogging.Gupta, however, claimed that no waterlogging took place at the traditionally vulnerable spots like Minto Road and the ITO junction. She exhorted the officials to demonstrate the same level of efficiency across the entire city. Any negligence in dealing with waterlogging will not be tolerated, CM warned.At a special meeting with PWD minister Parvesh Verma and senior officers of different departments associated with flood management, Gupta instructed the officials that stormwater drains along the roads be regularly inspected and cleared. Earlier in the day, AAP's Delhi president Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged that "BJP's four engines" were washed away as Delhi was left waterlogged and its people stranded during the rains.
