Chace Calicut, No. 4 Safety,Commits to Georgia Bulldogs Football Chace Calicut,a highly touted safety prospect from Galena Park North Shore High School in Houston, has announced his commitment to the University of Georgia. The announcement came during halftime at the OT7 Finals in South Florida. Calicut, ranked as the No.4 safety in the nation, chose Georgia over offers from Texas and other top programs. Defensive backs coach donte Williams extended an offer in the spring, setting the stage for Calicut's official visit to Athens earlier this month. The Georgia Bulldogs' coaching staff, including Williams, Travaris Robinson, and head coach Kirby Smart, played a significant role in Calicut's decision. The coaches' emphasis on player advancement and the opportunity to learn from some of the best defensive minds in the country proved decisive. "I made my decision down there at Georgia during the official visit," Calicut said. "The coaches always told me that when you're home, it'll feel right... When I stepped foot on Georgia's campus, after I got a feel for the program, I knew it was the right spot." Despite interest from Texas, Georgia's late push and strong impression during Calicut's visits ultimately secured his commitment. Calicut highlighted Georgia's ability to maximize player potential as a key factor. "It's one of the best schools to go play defensive back at," he said. "They maximize your potential there at Georgia. That's all they want you to do -- to keep getting better... to keep your head down and work." Calicut is expected to join the Georgia Bulldogs in the fall of 2026. He aims to contribute to their already strong defensive backfield. The Georgia bulldogs football program continues to attract top talent, solidifying its position as a national powerhouse.

On Saturday, Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning took a moment to use his platform to send a message. It came after a tumultuous week in America that saw multiple shootings, one that left two students injured at Evergreen High School in Denver on Wednesday, and another that left political activist Charlie Kirk dead after a rally in Utah. A couple of weeks ago, two kids -- ages 8 and 10 -- were killed at a mass shooting in Minnesota. Kirk was reportedly an Oregon Ducks fan, which is something tha ...Read More >

The Kansas City Chiefs are their own brand and don't need to be compared, but a Bill Belichick and Tom Brady comparison isn't too shabby. The Kansas City Chiefs are back at camp, and although things didn't end quite the way they had hoped last season, there's no denying that a lot of teams would like to be in the Chiefs' shoes. They have one of the league's best, if not the best, quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and they have a legendary head coach in Andy Reid. Now, the NFL power rankings are s ...Read More >
